Get a 32GB SanDisk Ultra card (Works straight out of the packet). Akaso EK7000 / EK7000 Pro / Brave 4 Action Camera uses a 32GB SD / microSD Card rated Class 10. Most trail cameras and entry action cams refuse to read 64GB or 128GB cards and display 'Card Error'. A 32GB card works immediately with no computer setup.
The official maximum supported capacity for Akaso EK7000 / EK7000 Pro / Brave 4 Action Camera is 32GB (tested up to 32GB (Plug & Play)). For the best balance of price and reliability, our recommended sweet-spot size is 32GB.
32GB ≈ 8,000+ high-res wildlife photos or ~3.5 hours of 1080p motion video clips. Choosing 32GB gives plenty of headroom without overpaying.
Standard cards are too slow for high-bitrate 4K/5.3K video. Using a card below V30 speed will cause frame dropping or 'SD Card Too Slow' recording stops. Always use a card with a guaranteed minimum 30MB/s sustained write speed (V30 / U3). Trail camera chipsets expect FAT32 formatting, which comes standard on all 32GB cards.
Setup requirement: FAT32 ONLY (Pre-formatted on 32GB cards). 32GB cards come factory pre-formatted in FAT32, so you can insert the card straight out of the packet into Akaso EK7000 / EK7000 Pro / Brave 4 Action Camera with zero computer formatting needed.
Yes. Unbranded or counterfeit marketplace cards frequently spoof their capacity or fail to sustain Class 10 write speeds, leading to corrupted recordings or 'Card Error' warnings. Stick to genuine, branded cards from a reputable retailer to ensure full manufacturer warranty coverage.
